The 25-foot Tuff-Guard garden hose assembly is specifically designed for watering and wash-down applications with its 5/8" male and female Garden Hose Thread (GHT) connections. The hose features a flexible thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) tube that allows for easy maneuvering around the garden, while its two-ply spiral polyester fiber core provides added strength. To prevent kinking and maintain full water pressure, a polypropylene double helix coils around the hose, offering dimensional stability.

In addition to resisting kinks and knots, the double helix design also protects the hose from abrasion and makes it weather resistant. The hose is lightweight, making it easier to move around the garden. Heavy-duty brass ferrules connect the hose to its end connectors, ensuring a secure attachment. The ferrules, which are internally expanded rather than crimped, preserve the hose's internal diameter for optimum water flow and prevent leakage.

One end of the hose features a male GHT connection for attaching sprayers or sprinklers, while the opposite end has a female GHT connection for connecting to male-threaded water spigots. Both connectors are made of machined brass for corrosion resistance and strength, allowing for wrench tightening and loosening. The hose has a maximum working pressure of 100 psi, a burst pressure of 300 psi, and a vacuum rating of 29 inches of mercury (inHg).
